.test

The name test is reserved by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) in RFC 2606 (June 1999) as a domain name that is not intended to be installed as a top-level domain (TLD) in the global Domain Name System (DNS) of the Internet for production use.

Reserved DNS names

In 1999, the Internet Engineering Task Force reserved the DNS labels example, invalid, localhost, and test so that they may not be installed into the root zone of the Domain Name System.

The reason for reservation of these top-level domain names is to reduce the likelihood of conflict and confusion. This allows the use of these names for either documentation purposes or in local testing scenarios.

This list of Internet top-level domain extensions contains all top-level domains, which are those domains in the DNS root zone of the Domain Name System of the Internet.

The official list of all top-level domains is maintained by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA). IANA also oversees the approval process for new proposed top-level domains. As of January 2016, the root domain contains 1205 top-level domains, while a few have been retired and are no longer functional.

Situation (album)

Situation is a 2007 studio album by Canadian hip hop musician Buck 65. It is entirely produced by Skratch Bastid.

Reception

Situation has received generally favorable reviews from critics.Metacritic gave the album a score of 68/100, based on 21 reviews.

Oscar Pascual of SF Weekly said, "[with] rhymes that theoretically combine to make Situation a concept album about 1957, Buck creates a number of dark and desperate characters to tell a wide array of seldom-uplifting stories." Meanwhile, Alex Macpherson of The Guardian noted that "[there] are isolated moments of beauty - the spare piano loop of Ho-Boys, though nothing new, is evocative and effective - but little sticks in the mind or stimulates the emotions." Dan Raper of PopMatters commented that "Situation is a cool, collected set of songs from the veteran Canadian rapper, but you shouldn’t be expecting anything revolutionary—at least, not from the music."

The album reached #1 in its second week on Chart's campus radio chart, and peaked at #31 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart.

Situation Two

Situation Two, aka Situation 2, was a record label created in 1981 by Peter Kent as an offshoot of the larger Beggars Banquet label. At the time, Beggars Banquet records were distributed by WEA Records; to appeal to the indie audience and to get releases into the indie charts, the Situation Two label was created.

During its 11-year history, Situation Two came to prominence as the home for a varied number of indie favourites. These included Madchester band The Charlatans, Bauhaus side projects Tones on Tail and David J, and cult bands like The Associates, Thee Hypnotics, Gene Loves Jezebel, Play Dead, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, Buffalo Tom, and early incarnations of The Cult.

When Situation Two was dissolved in 1992, many of the roster's releases were then issued on the main Beggars Banquet label, and several were later included on the 1999 Beggars compilation album Pspyched!.
